2012 Buck A Block Program - Series 8

Our 8th "Buck a Block" program, featuring Thangles  half square triangles, is now ready for sign ups! If you are interested and would like to participate, stop in soon to choose from our beautiful array of colors and pick up your first block. This year is a twin sized quilt with twenty four 7.5" finished blocks. The program runs from January - December 2012. We will accommodate new sign-ups through March.

"WOMEN OF COURAGE" Block of the Month

Coming in May........Windham Fabrics latest collection by Nancy Gere inspired this new 'Women of Courage' Block of the Month designed by Denice Lipscomb. The Women of Courage fabric collection has luscious floral prints, beautiful tonal blenders and a breathtaking color palette of brown, tan, red, teal and green. The 12 month program is special because each block corresponds to a brave and courageous woman in world history. Together, they create a spectacular Block of the Month. Enjoy learning a little bit about history as you sew with this gorgeous collection. The cost of this 12 month program will be $23.95/month which will include patterns and all fabric for the 98" x 98" top and binding. The number of kits available will be limited so if you are interested stop in soon! We will also be offering monthly classes.

"COTTON CLUB" BLOCK OF THE MONTH

Created around an antique border print from the mid 1800's, Paula Barnes' collection mixes antique coordinates in rich tones of madder and Turkey red, both commonly used in the 1800s to create 45 different 5" blocks in their stunning BOM quilt. The finished size of this quilt is 78" x 85".  The 12 month program will begin September 15 and costs $21.95/month. This includes all fabric for the top and binding, patterns, and a "boo boo" bundle of block fabrics just in case....
